Criminal law describes conducts banned by the government with penalties involved if these prohibitions are violated. People who break criminal laws can face penalties from fines to jail terms, or even execution. Listed below are some of the crimes which fall under criminal law.

  • Conspiracy, Attempt, Aiding and Abetting. Conspiracy happens when two or more individuals are in agreement to perpetrate a crime. Anyone with the intention of committing a crime does a considerable action toward performing the felony may be found guilty of attempt. Aiding and abetting happens when an individual advises or aids someone in executing the crime. Conspiracy, attempt aiding and abetting are grounds for a guilty individual to be liable for the other conspirator’s criminal acts.

  • Misdemeanors. These are offenses which cause harm to people and/or property. Misdeameanors are divided into two primary categories: misdemeanours and felonies. Misdemeanors are considered lesser crimes where the offender may be sentenced to jail terms and/or fined. Felonies on the other hand are crimes committed which are subject to state institutional division imprisonment or death.
